Online exams are conducted in a more secure manner. Since the online centers are often financially stable, they can afford to have CCTV cameras set up across the campus. This surveillance significantly reduces the chances of cheating, making the exam process more transparent and fair.

No OMR Sheets

One of the most significant advantages of the online mode is the absence of OMR sheets. Students don't have to go through the tedious process of filling out OMR sheets, which can be time-consuming and error-prone. With online exams, you can simply select your answers using your mouse, and in case you need to modify them later, it is much easier to do so.

The conduct of online exams is more systematic and organized. Invigilators don't have to collect any answer sheets after the exam. Students can disperse faster by simply handing in their rough sheets and ballpoint pens. The checking process is faster, and results are delivered within a few days after the checking process begins. This feature is very handy.

Pros and Cons of Online Mode

Pros: Saves a lot of time, which can be used for revision or difficult questions. Less mental effort since navigating through the panel is easy and revisiting questions is straightforward. Cannot make mistakes like filling answers in the wrong order on OMR sheets. If you realize a mistake, you can change your answer in the online mode.

Cons: May be challenging for those who are not accustomed to using computers.

Assuming you are comfortable with basic computer functions, online mode is straightforward and easy to use. It is simply a matter of clicking and clicking without any rocket science involved.

Handling Technical Issues

While switching to an online mode can be smooth, there are occasional technical issues that can arise. If the server goes down, students will be assigned another time slot or center. While it is rare, having a contingency plan in place is important for a seamless exam experience.
