Experiencing the Linga Bhairavi Yantra at Home: A Blessing and a Simplified Practice
Experiencing the Linga Bhairavi Yantra at Home: A Blessing and a Simplified Practice
When I registered for my Linga Bhairavi Yantra, the first thing that I wanted to know was whether it would be difficult to maintain: especially for someone like me who travels a lot. I didn’t want to be house-arrested just because I had Devi at home. I would have resented the restrictions.
So naturally, I wanted to know if Devi would get angry if I am not there every day doing the offerings and the process that is required to maintain the Yantra. The Devi Team at Isha Yoga Center Coimbatore was very helpful. They clarified that people do travel sometimes abroad, sometimes for weeks, or even months, for various reasons: work, visiting relatives, staying out of station, pleasure trips, etc.
Home Worship and Maintenance
Does that mean we have to cut down on all that? Does that mean we can’t have the Linga Bhairavi Yantra at home? Not at all. So, what’s the solution? The solution is simple: get someone to come and clean the space around the Yantra. The Yantra itself is not supposed to be touched by anyone other than those initiated in the Yantra Process.
For people like me who are super paranoid about having other people in my home when I am not around, giving them a key to the neighbors’ security office, the only thing to do is to cover the Yantra as the Devi team guided at the time of initiation when traveling for more than 3 days. When I came to know this, I was greatly relieved. Call me what you want, but I was just so glad that curtailing my life was not a part and parcel of having Devi at home.
Your Experience with the Linga Bhairavi Yantra
I now have the Linga Bhairavi Yantra at home. And whenever I am traveling for more than 3 days, I cover the Yantra like they told me to. If it's less than 3 days, I light a lamp before leaving, and that's it. This answers the second part of your question.
My Experience with the Linga Bhairavi Yantra at Home
Coming to the first part, my experience of having the Linga Bhairavi Yantra at home has been terrific. No words can describe the safety and security a child feels in his mother's lap. That's how it feels to have the Yantra at home. I used to crave for going to the Ashram Isha Yoga Center Coimbatore mostly because I wanted to visit Devi's abode. However, two or three weeks after every visit, dissatisfaction would creep in, as I felt that I wanted to stay here and go there. Ever since I have the Yantra at home, it feels as if Devi is living right here. She is HERE, not somewhere out there.
She has always been everywhere, but it took the Yantra for me to realize and feel her presence right here in this home. I always call the house that we live in as this home and not my home because it does not belong to me anymore. It belongs to Devi and Sadhguru. They are the Mother and Father living and blessing us in this house. We are living and raising our child in THEIR house.
How can one describe the feeling of having an umbrella protecting them against the storm around? That's what it feels like to have Devi at home. I wouldn’t say that all problems have disappeared, and life is a bed of roses now that She's here. But since She came, I have had one lucky break after another. Whenever any problem comes, the strength to face it and overcome it comes with it. Devi has blunted the edge of the problems, and it doesn't hurt as much anymore. That is the biggest blessing for me - this emotional and mental security that I feel and this feeling that everything is going to be alright.
Life is more beautiful and more celebratory since She came. Every other day, there's a new festival, a birthday, an anniversary, or a Pournami (full moon) night or an Amawasya (new moon) night. And we look for opportunities to make offerings to Devi and make the festival grand.
This is the pic that I clicked just yesterday - it was Gudi Padwa, and the first night of Chaitra Navratri. We had offered Devi Abhishekam: a set of 11 offerings to appease Devi. This is the pic of Thaipoosam, the Linga Bhairavi consecration anniversary, where we offered Abhishekam then too. This is Mahashivratri night. It was at 3 am that I clicked this pic. I was feeling charged up though I was awake the whole night.
Every day is a beautiful new day since Devi has come. I wish everyone gets an opportunity to experience Her grace in their home!
Salutations to Bhairavi Devi
