Reflections on Life and Ambitions for the Next Five Years

As I approach the age of 76, my view of life has evolved. The coming five years will undoubtedly be filled with both challenges and opportunities. Here, I reflect on my current aspirations and future goals, the most significant of which pertain to personal growth, spiritual fulfillment, and social responsibility.

Personal Growth and Achievements

For the upcoming five years, I have several personal goals that I plan to achieve. Most importantly, I aim to complete the long-awaited bathroom remodel, which is scheduled for August. In tandem with this renovation, my kitchen countertops will also be replaced with new ones. This project paves the way for a more comfortable and modern living space. Furthermore, I will take steps to facilitate J's independence, ensuring that he navigates daily life with greater autonomy. One of J's most significant challenges surrounds becoming more socially acceptable, a task that I approach with a mix of seriousness and humor.

Adopting a mindset of continuous improvement, I have made a list of personal and creative goals. My intentions include producing a minimum of five paintings, completing a book, and finally learning the art of photography. Additionally, I plan to revisit two seminal works: Hegel's 'Logic' and Wittgenstein's 'Investigations.' The intellectual journey does not end there, as I also aspire to visit Venice and experience its beauty firsthand. However, I intend to avoid some of the common pitfalls and embrace a more mindful exploration of this iconic city.

Adapting to Change and Climate Migration

In considering broader societal changes, I cannot ignore the pressing issue of climate change. The coming years may witness a significant shift in global populations due to climate migration. This phenomenon may transform the landscape of cities and towns around the globe, potentially leading to a new world order. Recognizing the urgency of this issue, I may join the ranks of individuals who seek to adapt to and possibly flee the most affected areas.

Final Thoughts and Personal Priorities

Ultimately, my goal for the next five years is to establish a dedicated studio for my podcast. Here, I aim to engage in meaningful conversations with diverse individuals, exploring various aspects of life. This endeavor reflects my commitment to supporting human dignity and understanding, particularly in the face of injustice and social upheaval.
