What is the One Thing that Motivates You to Excel?

There is a certain spark within us that drives us to break barriers and achieve our goals. It could be a momentary setback, a casual remark, or simply having the right person by our side. Today, I want to share a personal story about how my brother, Bhaielder, has been a beacon of motivation.

From Easygoing to Driven

Throughout my life, I always prided myself on being intelligent, capable, and having a good overview of situations. However, I have to admit, I was quite easygoing. That was until a casual chat with a person who directly mocked me, labeling me as 'dumb.' That moment triggered a shift within me, and I became more determined to work harder and smarter towards my goals.

My journey of motivation has been tested often, but it reached a critical point during the festive season. Festivals are supposed to be joyous times, filled with gatherings, friends, and loved ones. However, with friends no longer around to share such moments, I found myself feeling lonely and detached. During one such festival, everyone was posting pictures of their happy moments, but I couldn't share in the same joy. I wanted to find solace, even for a day.

Enter my brother, my best friend since birth. I implored him to come with me to Lord Ganpati Ji temple, but our conversation took an unexpected turn.

Me: Bhai, I also want to visit Lord Ganpati Ji temple now… can we?

Bhai: Don't you have friends who can go with them.

Me: Do I have any? Everyone's got better than me and left me in the middle of the lonely street.

The silence that followed was heavy, and I couldn't shake off the feeling of regret.

Then, my brother spoke, this time not as mockingly:

Bhai: Hey dumbo! You are much better and better than them. Not only better, you're the best in person. And one things for sure, once you become successful in your career, they will be the ones who need you. Don't worry until that time you got me. And time will make things better, so just go with the flow and give your best as you can. Got it? So, now get ready, and let's go!

Speechless, I could only nod. My brother, being the only person who supported me through thick and thin, had motivated me yet again. His words and actions have been a constant source of encouragement and guidance.

Unconditional Support

From the time I was a child, my brother has been my rock. He stood by me when no one else did. He provided the best advice and always cheered me on, even when I felt like stuffiness was overwhelming me. 'Never let thoughts get off,' as they say, but with my brother, I could talk about my silly things. Despite the daily challenges, particularly as the exams approached, he never denied me help. Whether it was my studies or something else, he always found the time to assist me, even when he had countless tasks to complete himself.

I consider myself incredibly blessed to have him in my life, and for that, I am forever grateful.

Perfecting just one secret ingredient isn't enough; it is the cumulative effect of having the right people around you that truly makes a difference in your journey.
